How the Weatherization Assistance Process Works for Renters
To start, CAC provides information packets to the landlord and the tenant. These packets outline the benefits and specifics of our programs. Once the landlord gives consent for an energy assessment, we then schedule this with the renter.
After the assessment, we review our findings with both the landlord and the renter, discussing our recommended upgrades. With the landlord’s approval, we then schedule and carry out the work. Once everything is completed, a quality control inspection is performed with the renter to ensure that all work has been done correctly.
