Fully paid Short-term disability for employees. Long-term disability is available as an option to purchase.

This policy protects an employee from loss of income in the event of being unable to work due to illness, injury, or accident for a specified period of time.

Educational Assistance Programs

Employees may apply for reimbursement for tuition costs after completion of one (1) year of satisfactory service.

Paid Time Off and Paid Holidays

Employees receive:

  • 15 days of vacation leave (for ECE employees, this is built into the school schedule)
  • 12 days of sick leave
  • 3 days for personal use (increases to 5 days starting July 1)
  • 13 days of paid federal holidays

Retirement Plan

Employees who work more than 500 hours per year are enrolled in the Maryland State Retirement System.
