Interested in donating food to the Howard County Food Bank?
We have seen a significant increase in demand for services at the Howard County Food Bank. All donations are safe, secure, and most importantly go directly to those who need assistance during this critical time. Food donations can be dropped off at the Howard County Food Bank (located at 9385 Gerwig Lane Columbia, Suite J, MD 21046).
Donation Hours: Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
*Note: please do not leave food unattended after hours. This enables us to verify the integrity and safety of the food.
Interested in holding a Food Drive supporting the Community Action Council’s Food Assistance Program at the Howard County Food Bank?
WE CAN HELP! We’d love to help you craft a flyer or graphics to help you collect food on our behalf. If you do plan to use our logo, we’ll just want to approve its usage. We appreciate so many in our community that raise money and awareness in the most creative ways!

Businesses and individuals who donate $500 or more to the Community Action Council of Howard County may benefit from CAC’s designation as an approved entity under the Community Investment Tax Credit Program. As a donor, you could earn Maryland tax credits equal to 50% of the value of your money, goods or real property contributed to CAC. These credits are in addition to charitable deductions on both federal and state taxes.
