For Individuals/Families 

WHOLE HOME ENERGY EFFICIENCY PROGRAM

A Whole Home approach to designing a home improvement plan unique to your home’s energy usage. We start with an energy assessment using the most advanced technology and procedures available to determine how your home can better use energy for the long-term.

HEATING, COOLING AND WATER HEATING SYSTEMS PROGRAM

A seasonal program helping homeowners achieve more comfortable homes with the repair or replacement of non-functioning heating, cooling, and water heating systems. Applications can be submitted at any time and will automatically go on the waitlist maintained by the state of Maryland, pending approval.

Do I qualify?

Eligible Services: air sealing, insulation, duct sealing, appliance replacement, and HVAC system repairs and/or upgrades

Services Not Considered: window replacement, door replacement, roof replacement, cosmetic improvements/upgrades, large scale mold treatment

Who Can Apply: Open to homeowners and renters across the state of Maryland.

TUNE-UP PROGRAM

Extend the life of installed energy systems with routine maintenance and increase long term energy savings. Sample measures include: clean & tune of HVAC, lightbulb replacement, optimize thermostat, refrigerator and hot water temperatures and cleaning of refrigerator coils

Who Can Apply: Open to prior Weatherization clients living in Howard County, both homeowners and renters.

APPLIANCE REPLACEMENT PROGRAM

Selecting appliances that are energy efficient can have a big impact on your energy costs in the short term and long term. Whether replacing existing equipment or outfitting a new space, CAC can help you evaluate appliance replacements for your home.

Who Can Apply: Open to prior Weatherization clients living in Howard County, both homeowners and renters.

Do I Qualify?

Eligible Services: Furnace and cooling upgrades, water heater replacement, LED light bulbs, programmable thermostat, major appliance upgrades such as washer, dryer, dishwasher and refrigerator

Services Not Considered: oven stove replacement, microwave replacement, window replacement

Who Can Apply: The Appliance Replacement program is only open to homeowners in Montgomery County who are PEPCO customers only.

For Property Managers/Landlords

PROPERTY MANAGERS AND LANDLORDS PROGRAM

Property managers may utilize grants available to help build property value and make repairs to property. This program can provide services from 1 unit to larger multi-family apartment complexes. Contact Gary Christopher at gchristopher@cac-hc.org to get started.
